PLEASE WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!!!! 2 days ago one of my friends/coworker was in a horrible car accident. She was NOT wearing her seatbelt . Thank God she is even alive....I'm serious it's a miracle. A car made an illegal left and cut her off..she t-boned him and was pushed into oncoming traffic where she was hit by another car. Her head went through the windshield and she ended up on the passenger side; doesn't remember more then that b/c she lost consiousness.

She's out of ICU...her face is cut up pretty bad, her arm is broken, her wrist has pins in it and her broken hip now has metal plates. When she leaves the hospital she will have to go to a rehabilitation hospital. She won't be able to drive or walk w/out a walker for months.

Please keep her in your thoughts/prayers; she is expecting her second grandbaby in just a matter of days...and was scheduled to move on May 10th. So sad.

Here is Deb 2 weeks ago at our company day on the lake; she is second row 1st on left wearing blue shirt. I'm so sad right now but thankful she is alive.

BUCKLE UP!!!!!!!!!!!

xoxo,
-Nat

I hope that your friend will be okay. But just because you wear a seat belt doesn't always mean your gonna be okay in  wreck. A few years ago this drunk woman ran a stop sign doing about 50 miles an hour. There was no way I could stop in time so I ended up hitting her and flipping my car several times before landing in a ditch upside down. I ended up with my head split open a concussion, and  broken ribs. And I was wearing my seatbelt!!! The crazy drunk lady did not even have a scratch on her I think she was so drunk she had no idea what hit her.

Natalie: I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I hope she has an excellent recovery! I always, always buckle up, as does everyone in my car.

Mikki: No, a seatbelt doesn't guarantee you won't be hurt at all, but surely you see that had you not been wearing yours that day, the likelihood of more serious or fatal injuries would've been much, much higher.

It was probably a matter of being in a hurry or something small like that too. Bless her heart Nat, how sad. Will keep her in our prayers. Let us know how she's doing, ok?

So sorry about your friend. She's lucky to be alive, even though she may not feel like she is at the moment. I hope her recovery goes smoothly. I always wear my seatbelt...I feel naked if I don't have it on.

I had the same EXACT thing happen to me in FEB only there was ice involved.  I was wearing my seatbelt thank God and was fortunate to walk away.  I am praying for your friend's complete recovery, it may not seem so but it could have been worse.  I hope she heals quickly and well enough to get to enjoy her new grandbaby!

Ouch.  I hope she makes a complete recovery so she can enjoy her grandkids for many years to come.  Don't forget it's also important to buckle up the furry ones too.  I doubt a dog would survive going thru a windshield.  All it takes is one idiot to change your life forever.

Oh I  know  if I had not been wearing my seat belt that day I probably woujd have been hurt worse than I was, I was on my way to pick up my boyfriend when the wreck happend. Thank god I didn't pick him up before. Because if he had been in the car in the passenger seat it would have killed him even if he was wearing a seat belt because the entire passenger side was crushed, I think everyone should try to be responsible when they get behind a wheel of a car.And I also think there needs to be stricter drunk driviing laws. This crazy woman who ran that stop sign was not only drunk but  was also driving on a revoked license from a prior drunk driving accident
