I thought it might be fun to start this thread for the Jamboree attendees to see who all is going and where they are coming from.
I'll start it off:
I'm coming with Randy (if he's up to the trip - if not I'll come without him) and bringing Katie Scarlett and our Lab, Dixie. We will be heading over on Friday from the Central Kentucky area and arriving early afternoon on Friday. |

| Aka and I will be there and are coming from southeastern NC so we will do a stayover Thursday night in Charlotte with family and arrive Friday around noon. (I'm hoping that if the adoption for Tabitha goes through, she will be with us also!!) |

We're definitely going to be there. Coming from central Indiana will be me, Barb and Shane, plus our ratties Lucy and Bo and our dobie, Darmok. Hoping to arrive in the early afternoon at the campgrounds, staying at a motel nearby Friday night and back to the campgrounds for fun and games on Saturday. Saturday evening we will head down to Chattanooga to spend a couple of nights there in a motel and see the sights of Chattanooga ---gotta "See Rock City" you know!
I can't wait to meet all you guys and your dogs!  |

| I'm really wanting to come, I did put in a request for a vacation day on the 25th, just in case. I just don't know about bringing Bailey. She's never been that far in a car, she's still scared of dogs but now instead of hiding she just barks her head off at them. I read the "fine print" section and Bailey would probably be asked to leave. So I'm thinking maybe I'll come without her so I can meet all you guys. It's about 4 hours from me ( Western Ky) I'll have to make up my mind soon. |

| I want to come, but I don't know yet. We are so slammed at work right now, I don't know if I'll be able to take off and with Kevin's new job still up in the air, I don't know where he'll be or if he'll have time off. We're gonna just play it by ear right now. |

Great idea! I am going to be there sometime Friday with Terry Beale (we are traveling there together from GA). I don't know for sure who I am brining, but we will each have 1 rattie in toe AT LEAST! We are both excited. This will be my first time. Terry told me she wouldn't miss it for the world!
We are leaving our hubbies behind (I couldn't talk mine into going this year).

I will be coming in from middle GA, driving up Friday with my Hubby(Ricky) and Amos. We plan to be there for the Friday evening "Meet & Greet" and hopefully all day on Sat. We are staying over Sat night and driving home Sunday. Can't wait to see you all there. |

Abby and I will be coming from Alabama. I think my friend Lisa is going as well and may POSSIBLY bring her little poodle Pogo. We can hardly wait!! |

THE MEANING OF RESCUE
Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.
Hmm... Yes there it is, right on the top
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things -
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
To never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?

I am still planning to come with all 4 of my rattie babies, and my husband. I am a little nervous after reading about Gunner getting attacked and killed by a pack of ratties he knew... Just will have to be very cautious. Love you guys, can't wait to "see" everyone! |

Donna - I thought Gunner was left with a pack of ratties alone, without supervision, and he was attacked. No one's fault b/c you could never anticipate that happening but I think he was the youngest - and the pack probably just ganged up on him. You guys are going to have some much fun. |

Yup.I have already reserved a one room cabin at the KOA. I just called to see what we need to bring. It has 1 full bed and two bunk beds., and a desk with a chair. You have to bring your own linens, and pillows, unless you want tp rent theirs. They have community showers, and a kitchen all the cabins can use. 42.00 A night.
