My Dixie will try to run off any dog or animal that gets in our yard. Just the other day my neighbors rottweiller got into my yard through digging a hole under our fence, and Dixie heard him from inside the house and bolted out the doggie door and before I could catch her she was in the rotts face and growling and barking, fortunetly for her and me the dog was more surprised and bewildered that he ran back under the fence and back home. The rott was just coming over to play since they see each other through the fence everyday. She has ran cats out of the yard, Squirrels, well she trie to catch them. She really thinks she is 10 foot tall and bullet proof. Also when someone new comes to the house she stands between famliy member and the new person.

Ratties really have no idea that they are small. Glad the rottie was timid enough to go home I had a rottie years ago that ran from neighbor's chihuahuas (quite ridiculous to see).

Couple of years ago I walked out the door with Mitzy and Mayfly, the neighbor's 2 rottweilers were loose and in our driveway, M&M barked and the rotties ran off.  That only encouraged the Terrible Two's terrier egos!

Dashiell befriends every dog he sees...big or no. The only problem I have had is when he got into a fight with a possum.
