I was just wondering, my Baxter seems to love barking and biting at my daughters feet when her dad picks her up or holds her, as well as him giving me a hug, it this something we should be worried about?  How do we get him to stop, it scares my (daughter shes 8 yrs).  Baxter is 1 1/2

We fixed this same situation by training Sam to sit until we stop to talk praise and hugs for him. If he jumped around our legs, we stood absolutely still and did not look down or engage him. When he would finally sit and wonder why we stopped then we praised. We practiced just me and my hubby until Sam got it. Then we let our little ones get hugs or squeal and giggle with Dad. I think Sam was protecting us from Dad or wanting me for himself like jealousy when my hubby kissed me.
Sam was an adult when we got him and he learned fast.
