I saw Cheryl ask that I post this. I feel kind of silly, because it's like, totally the easiest thing ever and no where near some of your guys' homemade goodness recipes.
Take 1 large and 1-2 small cans of canned chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add one bag of extra wide egg noodles. Cook until almost done. While egg noodles are cooking, mix a batch of dumplings from the recipe on the Bisquick box. When the noodles are ready, drop the dumpling mix onto the boiling broth/noodles by the spoonful all over the top. Put a tight fitting lid on the pot and allow the dumpling to cook through.
This is one of the bestest, easiest side dishes ever! We have it at every holiday. The dumplings will help thicken the broth just slightly. It's GREAT reheated later . |
