I saw Cheryl ask that I post this. I feel kind of silly, because it's like, totally the easiest thing ever and no where near some of your guys' homemade goodness recipes.

Take 1 large and 1-2 small cans of canned chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add one bag of extra wide egg noodles. Cook until almost done. While egg noodles are cooking, mix a batch of dumplings from the recipe on the Bisquick box. When the noodles are ready, drop the dumpling mix onto the boiling broth/noodles by the spoonful all over the top. Put a tight fitting lid on the pot and allow the dumpling to cook through.

This is one of the bestest, easiest side dishes ever! We have it at every holiday. The dumplings will help thicken the broth just slightly. It's GREAT reheated later .

Hi Tracey,
I hadn't checked the cook forum in a while. Thanks for this. I'm going to have to try it. I made Chicken and pastry last night and it was very good.

I've put dumplings over a mixture that issort of chicken pot pie with out the pie crust part and it is good,
I never thought of doing dumplings and noodles.

I loved eating the Amish dish of noodles and chicken or noodles and beef. that was good to, but then I am a noodle girl. Loved soba noodles in Japan and the pork hash noodle bowls in Hawaii.

thanks for posting this!!

Aloha,

for an even easier way to do the dumplings or if you are in a hurry, cut uncooked canned biscuits into 1/4s and drop in the broth....
