Your help is needed to get 4 foster puppies to their foster home in Albany, NY. We need to raise $396 to fly them from Atlanta to Albany as well as get them health certificates. Please send your donations through PayPal to Shelley Cole at kokorattie@yahoo.com. Make sure to note this is for the "Georgia Playful Puppies" so it is easy to track. Any overage will be kept in the Flight Kitty for the next rattie who needs to fly.

Anyone who can donate to the flight kitty or to Ratbone Rescue in general - it is much appreciated! A lot of money is spent by RBR on medical costs for rescued ratties. This litter of puppies and their mom, for example, have to be spayed/neutered and get their rabies vaccines before flying out. That's 6 dogs! RBR often gets a discount because they're a rescue organization but still the costs really add up.
So anyone who donates - your help is much appreciated! |

Mary Beth is so right! Each one is getting Spay/Neutered today, Rabies shot and I microchipped them myself yesterday (we still purchase each chip), whew! That was a lot.
The foster parents care for their food, water, toys, collars, crates and on and on and on tee hee. That is out of the foster parents pocket.
We are currently up to $150 that I know of. If you are able to donate, please email me at smiles4lifepkn @ yahoo.com so I can keep track. The funds are going to our Flight Kitty Manager.

Great news! The flight kitty for these puppies is at $260 and the flight certs were done for free so we are a bit beyond our goal for the flight which is about $221!

Mom is with our new Georgia foster mom (and famiy) Donna. She gave me an update today that she is still groggy from her surgery. She enjoys laying in the sun by their big window and has taken to one of her daughters. She tried to climb their kids slide outside to get to them while playing. She is still getting comfortable there.
She does not have an application on her at this time.
She sounds like a good first foster. Once I get updated pictures I will be sure to share.
I get to hang out with the puppies Friday night since I am taking them to the airport. Scrabble is going to Florida since she has a firm application on her. Woo hoo! |
