...that your bones rattle when it rains hard! Or when it thunders or when there's a car backfire or fireworks.

My wife told me that Hendryx heard the downpour outside and started shaking so hard she thought his bones would come apart.

His name is Hendryx! He's a rat terrier! OK!

Poor Hendryx! Oreo doesn't care to much for loud noises or fireworks either. Lightning and thunder, she just won't have any of that. She prefers a nice quiet home.Take care of your Mom and get home safe.

He's getting better in the car though. I'm home for the night; going back to mom's tomorrow. My younger son is subbing for me. Anyway, Hendryx was all over me when I got home. Said "Go for a walk?" and he was out to the car like a shot. Used to be that we'd have to drag him in. Anyway, my wife kept him in her lap and we went to the local hiking trail. At first he was a bit skeevy of it, but then he got into running to the end of the lead and sniffing and capering around. When we got back into the car, he didn't shake at all, just panted a bit and looked out the window. When we got home, he spotted the rabbit in our neighbor's yard and whined until we let him out of the car. Of course he can't get into our neighbor's yard. Still, now he waits to jump into the car when it looks like we're going out or when we're coming back.
