My youngest Dime seems to have a problem with poop. Seems when he is sleeping some squirts out. He is 16 months old. Does anyone have a clue what could possible cause this problem? It just started like 4 days ago. Could it be a type of flu or something going on?

My husband had the flu two weeks ago and it lasted for 6 miserable days. Then both my dogs had direaha for a day or so and now the youngest has some squirting out when he is sleeping. And believe me he is sleeping soundly when this happens.

I'm calling the vet today to make appointments for them both to have check up but was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem.

Thanks,

Nickle and Dime's Mom

Sorry, I haven't dealt with that kind of issue (thank goodness). I'm sure the vet will be able to offer some insight and at least eliminate any serious reasons for it happening. Is Dime still have diarrhea during his usual bowel movements?

No it is little terds that seem to squirt out while he is sleeping. They look like minature jelly beans. Whether he is farting and something is coming out other than gas or his bowel just relaxes so much that they come sliding out I have no clue.

Good grief, poor little guy....glad you're taking him to the vet. Probably an after effect of whatever gave them diarhea but you never know.

We have an appt for Thursday that is the soonest she can fit me in. But he intial comment is that he is dreaming! And I asked if this was normal and she says sometimes it happens when they have puppy dreams. She said not to worry since it is firm!

Well let me tell ya, this isn't fun. My dogs sleep in bed with us. So when it happens it means I strip the bed and wash everything. Hopefully he gets over these puppy dreams soon. I can't imagine what he is dreaming about that it comes slipping out!

I've never heard of this before. Maybe you should make him wear a diaper when he sleeps in bed with you at night.
