And Fall makes me think of sweet potatoes.  So I'll post my favorite sweet potato recipe.  These get rave reviews again & again.  They're great with turkey, of course, but also with ham, pork chops and even broiled/baked fish.

TEXAS CHIPOTLE SWEET POTATOES

2.5 lb. cubed & peeled sweet potatoes

½ c. half-n-half cream

3 T. butter

grated zest of 2 limes

Juice & pulp of 1 squeezed lime (do not substitute lemons or oranges in this recipe)

1 chipotle chile (2" long) in adobo sauce rinsed, seeded & finely chopped (in Mexican food section at most grocery stores)

1/2 c. brown sugar

½ tsp. salt

3/4 tsp. cinnamon

Boil potatoes until done.  Drain and mash with mixer or food processor.  Add all other ingredients.  Place in buttered cassserole dish.  Sprinkle with tad more cinnamon and bake 20 minutes ay 350º.  Doesn't get any easier.  Taste at this point.  Depending on your preference, you may want to add more lime juice.  Or even add more chipotle pepper (Your tongue should tingle but not feel real heat).  But be careful and increase slowly, retasting as you do so, because these little skogies are HOT!
